CLL Activities

CLL is involved in a number of activities relevant for the realization of its set objectives and complementing the achievement of the goals of CEES as set out in strategic plan. Some of the key activities include:

  1. Conducting credit courses under business studies unit at national certificate and diploma levels examined by UNEB and UBTEB
  2.  Conducting short non-credit community training programmes throughout the country
  3. Provision of consultancy services to communities, Local and Central Government Agencies, NGOs, CBOs, FBOs and PSOs
  4. Conducting community education and awareness programmes on topical issues through seminars workshops and public lectures
  5. Promoting knowledge creation, sharing and transfer of new technology through partnerships with communities and other relevant agencies such the ongoing one with Media Action, Uganda Rural Literacy and Community Development Association (URLCODA) and Maendeleo Foundation on Film making and Peace education in West Nile region
  6. Working with other units in CEES to set up business incubation centres for empowering students through employability and entrepreneurship skills development programmes in line with CEES strategic plan
  7.  Promoting ICT skills development among communities; and
  8. Participating in international activities to contribute towards achieving the internationalization goals of the University.
